Abstract

|
Of the many causes of the antepartum and intrapartum hemorrhage, rupture of velamentous insertion of umbilical cord(VCI) is one of the most emergent and tragic condition because of this association with a very high fetal mortality. There are some
available techniques and methods that can be used to diagnose of VCI, but these can not be used to improve the fetal salvatge rate effectively in practice.
We have experienced a case of ruptured velamenous insertion of umbilical cord and depressed fetal outcome recently. So we report this case with brief review of literatures.
